Why we decided to go forward with the manufacturing of the Hall Pass Watch has two answers.
The simple one is…well, simple. We wanted to provide us functional fitness athletes with a never before seen tool. A device that could do whatever the wall timer at our box did, so we could now workout on our own if and when necessary. We wanted to facilitate workouts with limitless variety and imagination, and we believed that fixed intervals aka tabatas, although very useful and fun, had some limitations in terms of intensity. Some movements are easier (and thus can be performed unbroken longer or with minimal rest) than many others, and we needed to introduce a device in which we could customize each individual interval if we so desired, so we could focus on intensity and efficient performance.
The other correct answer is that we have a true desire and mission to revolutionize the fitness industry.
Yes, you read right, Hall Pass Watches wants to revolutionize the fitness industry. Just like Arthur Jones completely changed the way people exercised with the unveiling of Nautilus machines in 1970, and Gregg Glassman has done the same since (give or take) the year 2000, we came out with a device that we have envisioned will redefine where and when you can workout.
Yes there are other watches meant for running that track speed and distance. Others are meant for health newbies or to reexamine the basic measurements such as step counters, calorie expenditure counters, and heart rate, while other specialty wearables meant for diving or surfing are making changes in their respective fields. But, those in love with the sport of fitness, or general fitness for fun´s sake, or interval training just because, had been forgotten altogether, and the limitations of our current scene were still being upheld. Gyms had equipment, but too much structure. While parks and garages had limitations on equipment (and a perfect timing device for those conditions). We are now striving to give the functional fitness athlete new options, by allowing the machine enthusiast new types of interval training that he had never even considered, and by allowing those who like to workout with less restrictions, the accountability, intensity, and variety that proper intervals allow anyone.
We want to make sure that the athlete who loves going to his gym or box also has the ability, when required, to workout just as efficiently and intensely anywhere else.
Too much traffic and you can’t make it to the box for class time?
Some scheduled social event only allows for 30 minutes of working out today?
Family vacation in the beach or mountains and you would love to quickly workout just to feel alive?
Or, got in early to class at the gym or box and want to work on some strength Emoms, or a mobility Tabata after class?
Yes, don’t worry if the wall timer is being used, you have an even more powerful timing device on your wrist when you own a Hall Pass watch.
Better yet, it vibrates between rounds, so never ever again twist out of a functional position, or break a set (and loose a rep or two) to look at any timing device. This watch will beep and vibrate on a 5 second countdown between each round, so you don’t even have to look at your wrist!
How is that for effective and revolutionary workouts?
So yes, we are ambitious and confident enough to say that at Hall Pass Watches, our goal is to revolutionize fitness and working with the limitations we know and define it with today.
Did we mention it also tells time ; )
